Wait a second....
Which EGT are you using?
I just ordered the autometer street EGT, which says it goes from 600-1600.
Seems like the EGT should go higher than that if you are seeing 1500 at WOT.
Should I cancel my order? Never had an EGT before, not sure what to expect.

I use the autometer one. It would be nice if it went up to 1800 but it's not a problem. Expect to read 1300 when cruising, 800 on idle and 1600+ when at WOT. The meter goes beyond 1600, you just have to guest.

I just want to warn peoples about something. I remember that peoples were asking some post ago about what their EGT should read and what was the max temperature they should go.
Here's my experience about it. Before this week-end, my EGT was reading 1300 while crusing and 1500 at WOT. Now it's reading ~1500 when crusing. At first I thought something was wrong but then it just hit my mind and it's was normal. Why ?? Because I've warped my "turbo" header so the heat dissipate less.
So even if your EGT read 1300, just keep in mind that it's in fact hotter than that, depending on which material you're exhaust is made of and how far away your probe is mounted. You may think you're safe with the reading you're getting but you maybe not. It's just something to think about.

Do you mean "wrapped" instead of "warped"?
